Lactation Services with an IBCLC You Can Trust
At Nurturing Lactation Care, we provide compassionate, personalized lactation support to families in Middle Georgia, including Macon, Milledgeville, Warner Robins, Gray, Lake Oconee, and surrounding areas.
Led by an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), our services are evidence-based, nonjudgmental, and focused entirely on helping you meet your feeding goals — whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, combo feeding, or bottle feeding exclusively.
We offer in-home, virtual, and prenatal services for all stages of your feeding journey — from birth through weaning.
💗 What We Help With
Every family is different — and so is every feeding relationship. We support parents through a wide range of concerns, including:
- Painful latch or nipple trauma
- Low milk supply or oversupply
- Tongue and lip tie evaluation with referrals
- Slow infant weight gain
- Bottle refusal or introducing a bottle
- Return-to-work planning
- Exclusive pumping and flange fitting
- Combination feeding (nursing + bottle or formula)
- Weaning support
- Prenatal breastfeeding education and planning
If you’re not sure whether your concern “counts,” it does. If you’re worried, uncomfortable, or just have questions — you’re in the right place.
🏡 In-Home Lactation Consultations
We come to you — no packing a diaper bag, driving with a fussy baby, or juggling appointments.
During a home visit, we’ll complete a comprehensive assessment of both parent and baby, observe a feeding, troubleshoot any issues, and create a plan that feels doable and supportive.
In-home visits typically include:
- Feeding observation and positioning help
- Weigh-feed-weigh (if needed)
- Pump setup and flange fitting (if requested)
- Referrals for oral ties, if appropriate
- Care plan with clear next steps
- Follow-up via secure messaging
- Reports sent to your provider (if desired)
💻 Virtual Lactation Consults
Need help but outside our travel radius or just prefer to meet remotely?
Virtual consults are perfect for:
- Follow-ups
- Pumping and flange fitting
- Prenatal education
- Return-to-work planning
- Gentle weaning
- Families in rural areas or other states
Virtual appointments are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform and include the same level of support and follow-up as in-home visits.
🤰 Prenatal Breastfeeding Education
The best time to prepare is before baby arrives. A private prenatal consult gives you:
- A realistic understanding of what to expect in the early days
- Guidance on latch, positioning, and normal feeding patterns
- Tips on milk production, pump selection, and what to buy (and skip)
- A chance to ask all your questions and feel empowered going into birth
This is a perfect gift for yourself or a loved one and can be booked virtually or in-home.
💵 Insurance & Payment Options
We believe lactation care should be accessible to all families.
We partner with several insurance plans and will walk you through the eligibility process when you book. Self-pay rates are available for those without coverage or who prefer to pay out of pocket.
